Based: The Harley Street Clinic

To provide the highest standard of care to all critically ill patients.  (All patients admitted to the Clinic, are under the care of a Consultant with admitting privileges)  It is the responsibility of the Intensivist to visit all patients in the Critical Care Units (ITU 2/3) and to initiate and follow precisely, the written instructions given by the Consultant in charge of the case.

To monitor the condition of patients in close liaison with the senior nursing staff, identifying any patient whose condition has changed to a degree where a deviation from the initial instructions for that patient is necessary.  The Intensivist is also required to be conversant with all Hospital policies and procedures and to attend all mandatory training sessions as required.
