Job summary

Assessing and admitting patients to The Harley Street Clinic and Princess Grace Hospital, seeing in-patients, assisting in their management and working closely with nursing team. To assist and provide clinical support at all times to matters relating to pre-assessment and theoutpatient services.

To assist in the management of patients and to provide back up support for consultants.

To develop and maintain close working relationships with consultant users, nursing and other staff in the hospital.

To provide medical cover, routine and emergency during hours of duty and to act, as may be reasonably required, on instructions given by the consultants regarding patients management.

To carry out a comprehensive handover from outgoing RMO to incoming RMO on a daily basis.

To undertake a daily ward round with a member of the nursing staff ensuring patients are visited where appropriate.

To provide urgent medical attention to staff or visitors in case of accident or sudden illness in liaison with the nurse in charge of the hospital until the person is admitted under a consultant or transferred to the nearest NHS casualty and to ensure completion of the accident form.
