This post is a middle grade post in acute paediatrics that contributes to the full shift rota.

Main Duties of Post include:

Responsible to the Senior members of staff for the execution of their professional duties.

To attend ward rounds as arranged with his Senior Staff to acquaint himself with patient management, and also at other times daily to ensure that all investigations, treatments, dressings etc, ordered are carried out. They will ensure that good communications are maintained with staff in all specialities to the benefit of the patient.

Carrying out their duties the Doctor will at all times be responsible for keeping his Senior staff informed of serious cases on the ward, cases of death, and any other matter which it is deemed necessary that their attention should be drawn. Any cases in which there is doubt must be referred to a senior member of staff.
